The adapter temporarily transforms the Concept2 Indoor Rower into a machine that simulates the dragonboat paddling stroke while making use of the Indoor Rower’s digital display monitor which tracks important workout information. The dragonboat paddling adapter is an effective tool that plays an important role in the training and testing of competitive dragon boat paddlers worldwide.

The paddle adapter offers:

• A more direct line of pull from the catch on either side, more closely simulating "on-water" forces.
• The seat of the rowing machine is utilized, preserving the overall length of the adapted rower to its normal 7’11".
• The "pull point" of the adapter is located higher.
• The adapter allows for a quick change between rowing and paddling modes.
• The adapter will fit on either the Concept2 Model C or Model D Indoor Rower.

The new paddle adapter makes use of the Indoor Rower’s Performance Monitor to track stroke rate, power output for each stroke, as well as elapsed time and distance in meters.

The Performance Monitor makes it possible to have your heart rate displayed while you row on the Concept2 Indoor Rower. Once you have installed the optional heart rate interface, you simply wear a Polar(tm) or compatible chest belt and your heart rate automatically appears on the monitor display area.

The PM2 and PM3 also stores your heart rate and other workout data for recall after your workout. This powerful feature allows you to record and monitor one of the most signifi cant measures of fi tness: your heart rate for a given work level. The PM3 is a standard feature on all new Concept2 Indoor Rowers and can be retrofi ttable to Model B and C Indoor Rowers.
